SkinArticleShow the complete product to your pharmacist when reviewing it with other medicines.

If your nystatin cream or ointment contains other ingredients, ask your pharmacist or doctor to review the complete product. NHS1 guidance specifically recommends checking whether those ingredients are safe with your other medicines.1
Bring the full label
Have the carton, tube and leaflet available. Include all the medicines, herbal remedies, vitamins and supplements you take when discussing the product; the NHS1 asks you to tell your doctor or pharmacist about these.1
Try: “This cream contains nystatin and these other ingredients. Can you check the full product against my medicine list and explain any instructions I need?”
Keep the professional’s answer with your product information. Ask them to clarify anything you do not understand.
Skin, Head to Toe includes a short-shelf planner. Use it to organize your products and questions for the review. See the book.
