The fine print
Privacy Policy
How information is handled when you read, shop, subscribe, or contact Girl Playbook.
Scope
Girl Playbook is operated under the business name girlplaybook.com, based in Dorchester County, South Carolina. This policy concerns information handled through this website and our interactions with readers and customers. Outside websites and services may have separate policies.
We publish health education; we do not provide a confidential medical consultation. Please do not submit medical records, detailed medical histories, payment-card details, or other sensitive information through ordinary email or contact forms.
Information you provide
When you contact us, your name, email address, selected topic, and message may be processed. Our contact form currently validates submitted information and, when direct delivery is unavailable, offers your email application as a way to contact us. Sending email also involves your email provider and ours.
Purchases involve order and delivery information, such as contact details, shipping address, items ordered, and transaction records. Payment information is handled through the checkout and payment services used for the order. Newsletter forms may process an email address; entering it does not establish that a subscription succeeded if the form reports that signup is unavailable.
Automatic information and tracking
Our hosting and security services process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, which can include IP addresses, browser information, requested pages, and request logs.
The website loads HighLevel’s external tracking script from link.msgsndr.com. This service supports page-view tracking and capture of supported form submissions, with page URLs, attribution information, and session information. Depending on configuration and interaction, information entered into supported forms may be transmitted to HighLevel. Browsing health-related pages can reveal interests related to health; this is another reason to avoid submitting sensitive medical details.
Purposes
Information is handled to deliver and support orders, respond to inquiries, process signup requests where available, understand website and form activity, maintain security, prevent misuse, keep business records, and meet legal obligations. This policy is not a request for your medical information or permission to use it for individualized medical care.
Recipients
Information may be handled by providers supporting hosting and security, tracking and customer management, email, checkout and payment, and fulfillment. HighLevel is the external tracking provider loaded by this site. Which commerce and delivery providers handle an order depends on the checkout and fulfillment arrangements for that order.
Information may also be disclosed where legally required or necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims. We do not make an unverified blanket promise that all information stays with us.
Cookies and your browser
Tracking and other services may use cookies or similar identifiers to associate activity with a browser or session. You can use your browser’s settings to block or delete cookies and restrict third-party scripts. These controls may affect site functionality and may not prevent every form of technical logging or collection. The site does not currently offer a dedicated tracking-consent or opt-out control. Do not assume that visiting the site anonymously prevents tracking.
Retention and security
Retention depends on the information, its purpose, service-provider settings, and applicable recordkeeping requirements. Order records may need to be retained for accounting, disputes, and legal obligations; correspondence may be retained to handle requests and maintain business records. No single fixed retention period applies to all information.
No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure. Avoid sending sensitive information through ordinary email or website forms.
Requests and choices
Email [email protected] to ask about information associated with you or request access, correction, deletion, or other choices available under applicable law. We may need to verify your identity. Applicable law, necessary business records, and the nature of a request can affect what can be provided or deleted.
If you receive marketing emails from us, use their unsubscribe option or contact us to request removal. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent necessary order or service correspondence. A privacy request is not a reason to send us medical records or your password.
Children
The website is intended for an adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it as required by applicable law.
Policy updates
We will update the date when this policy changes. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent, we will follow those requirements. A revised policy does not itself authorize a use of previously collected information that requires separate consent.
Contact
For questions, orders, refunds, privacy requests, or corrections, email [email protected]. We are based in Dorchester County, South Carolina.
