From a file to a picture of your day

See when you recorded each kind of event

Use the CSV downloaded from our bladder diary. This viewer groups entries into clock hours, then keeps exact times and your original wording in a list below. It does not compare fluid amounts, rate your bladder health or identify a cause.

A blank hour means no entries recorded in that hour. It does not mean nothing happened. Identical rows are counted separately, and a partly recorded day is not a full-day total. Bring the original diary and explain any missed entries to your clinician.

A timeline starts with recorded entries

Choose a file or open the example to see the three lanes. Each numbered marker shows how many entries of that type fall in one clock hour.

About the diary file

The interactive viewer needs JavaScript. You can still read a CSV export in a spreadsheet, or use the printable view in the original diary.

The supported columns, in order, are date, time, kind, amount, drink, urge, night, context. Dates use YYYY-MM-DD; times use the 24-hour clock. Other apps’ file formats are not supported by this viewer.

Turn your diary export into an hourly view

Download the CSV from the Girl Playbook bladder diary, choose that file here, and select a recorded date. Use the numbered markers to see recorded entries grouped into clock hours, then open the list for exact times. Print that day or download its chart as an SVG.

Which files can this viewer open?

It supports the Girl Playbook diary export with its exact eight columns, valid recorded dates and 24-hour times. The limits are 1 MB, 2,000 entries and 31 recorded dates. Other app formats are not supported, and an invalid file does not replace an existing view.

Does a blank hour mean I had no leaks or visits?

No. A blank hour means no entries of that type were recorded in that hour. The viewer cannot know which entries you missed, whether a day is complete, or what causes a symptom. Keep the original diary and discuss it with your clinician.

Behind this tool

NIDDK describes diaries as records of drinks, bathroom visits, leaks and context that can help a clinician understand what you experience. This viewer organizes your exported entries; it does not perform that assessment.
