Label-to-portion calculatorFiber portion calculator from a food label
Calculate fiber in your portion from a food label’s serving weight and fiber grams. Handle less-than values, see the calculation, and print your estimate.
Use the dietary fiber amount in grams, not the % Daily Value. Match the same food and preparation state for the label serving and your portion. This is label arithmetic, not a recommended portion or daily fiber target.
One label · Your portion

Scaled from the values you entered
Your label-based estimate
For label comparison, not a recommended amount to eat.
See how the values were scaled
Food labels use rounded values, and food composition varies. Scaling does not make the label more precise. A printed 0 g is not proof of absolute zero fiber.
This tool does not calculate soluble fiber, check ingredients or allergies, choose foods, or set a medical diet. If you have been given specific dietary advice, follow that advice. Make dietary changes gradually rather than chasing a number.

Calculate dietary fiber for a different portion weight
Copy the label’s serving weight and dietary fiber grams, choose a number or less-than value, and enter your portion weight. Check that both weights describe the same food and preparation state. Calculate, review the arithmetic and rounding notes, then print or download the estimate.
What if my label says less than 1 g of fiber?
Choose the less-than option and enter 1 as the limit. The calculator scales the limit instead of assuming exactly 1 g or zero. It rounds the displayed limit upward to 0.1 g and explains that rounding.
Can I use a dry-food label with the weight of cooked food?
No. The label serving and your portion must describe the same preparation state. Cooking changes weight, and added ingredients can change nutrient amounts. Check the package directions rather than treating dry and cooked weights as interchangeable.
Behind this tool
Research checked October 8, 2026. The calculator uses simple proportional scaling of the numbers you enter; it does not look up nutrient data.
